“Langston is My Man” is a two-act musical based on the poetry of Langston Hughes, a poet laureate from the Harlem Renaissance. This is not your ordinary musical! It is a chore-poem highlighted by tap dance while swinging to the rhythms of blues and jazz. The cast sing and dance their way through the good times of a night club in 1920s Harlem, NY as well as the hard times of the Depression in Harlem in the 1930s. The musical will be at JSRCC February 7 starting at 6:30 p.m. in the Massey Library Technology Center on Parham Rd campus.
