| Ford Motor Company has partnered with J. Sargeant Reynolds Community College to provide Central Virginia’s premier automotive service education program. Ford supplies a fleet of training vehicles, diagnostic equipment, special tools, and technical documentation. | 
| Responding to the need for qualified service technicians, the GM Automotive Service Educational Program, (ASEP), was created to allow dealerships to participate in programs that bring students together with GM dealerships. GM ASEP incorporates the most advanced automotive technical with a strong academic foundation of math, reading, and electronics in both analytical and technical skills. Students earn an Associate Degree while working and learning on the job. The result is a solid education combined with invaluable work experience for GM dealerships. | 
| Reynolds conducted a successful series of courses for the Metropolitan Business League. The courses introduced the advantages of the electronic office to minority small business owners--the theme "Using Computers to Grow the Business." Over a period of six weeks, business owners gained knowledge in the following areas: (1) advantages of technology in the workplace; (2) technical office design; (3) computers in the workplace; (4) tailoring the popular software packages for the business workplace; (5) professional accounting software for the small business; (6) purchasing computers & peripheral equipment.
