Microsoft Systems Engineer

Career Studies Certificate

Purpose: This program provides the training required for an individual to advance from Network Administrator to Systems Engineer. The program prepares student to study for additional Microsoft Windows certification exams, which may lead to the Microsoft Certified Systems Engineer (MCSE).

Occupational Objectives: Systems Engineer, Network Design Engineer, and Senior Network Consultant

Admission Requirements: General college curricular admission

Program Notes: Students enrolling in this certificate should have completed the Microsoft Network Administration Career Studies Certificate or equivalent and have a strong foundation in microcomputer applications for Windows, word processing, spreadsheet, and database. Students in the Microsoft Systems Engineer Career Studies Certificate must attain the grade of "C" or higher in all required IST courses.
