Purpose: This program is designed specifically to provide mechanics employed by public transit authorities throughout the Commonwealth of Virginia with technical training in the basic theory and fundamentals of the various electrical and mechanical systems related to transportation vehicles. Occupational Objective: The Public Transportation Diesel Maintenance Program is for designed for mechanics employed by the Public Transit Authorities only. Admission Requirements: General college curricular admission Program Notes: In addition to the general college curricular admission requirements, each student must be sponsored by a public transit authority and be admitted to the program by both the Diesel program head and the school dean. |
