What is STEM?
STEM stands for “science, technology, engineering and mathematics.” You have likely heard about STEM because careers in these fields are growing by leaps and bounds. At Reynolds, STEM classes are offered through the School of Mathematics, Science and Engineering, the School of Business and the School of Nursing and Allied Health. Moreover, STEM classes are offered at all campuses, online and in hybrid formats (part online and part on-campus). Saturday classes are also available for those with busy weekday schedules. Check the current class schedule for 16-week (regular session), 12-week and 8-week classes at a location and time that’s right for you.

Why take STEM classes at Reynolds?
An Associate of Science degree provides the foundation for a bachelor’s degree in 13 of the top 15 college majors as recently reported in Forbes Magazine Online. With the cost of college continuing to rise, it’s more important than ever to choose a major that’s a good investment. That means choosing a plan of study that will land you a job right out of college.

Forbes Magazine Online’s ranking was produced by compensation research firm, PayScale, who “compared its massive compensation database with 120 college majors and job growth projections through 2020 from the U.S. Bureau of Labor Statistics (BLS) to determine the 15 most valuable majors in the current marketplace. Ranked by median starting pay, median mid-career pay (at least 10 years in), growth in salary and wealth of job opportunities, engineering and math reigned supreme.”
