Prospective PAVE Students

High school graduates with a verifiable standard or modified standard diploma are eligible for PAVE admission. Students who receive a Special Diploma or Certificate of Completion from their high school are required to pass an ATB test to be eligible for admission and federal financial aid.

The Asset® measures students’ reading, writing, and numerical skills. All students admitted to the college under a curricular program must take a placement test in these areas.

Students may receive any of the following accommodations during testing:

— Extended time
— Calculators
— Braille assessment booklets
— Large print assessment booklets
— Audio recording
— Computer adaptation

Information, helpful tips, and practice questions can be found on the ACT ASSET ATB website at: http://www.act.org/asset/pdf/StudentGuide.pdf

Please note that students applying to PAVE will only be taking the Basic Skills part of the test which consists of the reading, writing, and numerical skills sections. Students will NOT take the advanced mathematics portion of the test.
