Reynolds spring semester open registration begins November 30

Richmond, Va. (November 16, 2015) – Reynolds Community College open registration for the 2016 spring semester starts November 30. Through the start of classes on January 11th, students can register 24 hours per day online by visiting www.reynolds.edu. Students can also register in-person in Enrollment Services located on each campus from November 30 to December 18 and January 4 to January 8.

Open House and Oxford Style Debate

RICHMOND, Va. (September 28, 2015) – The School of Math, Science and Engineering at Reynolds Community College will host an Open House and Oxford Style Debate on the topic of Genetically Modified Food on Thursday, October 15th, from 5 to 7 p.m. in the Lipman Auditorium of the Massey Library Technology Center on the Parham Road Campus, located at 1651 E. Parham Road in Richmond. This event is free and open to the public.

Reynolds to host book discussion on "Smoke Gets in Your Eyes"

RICHMOND, Va. (September 28, 2015) – Reynolds Community College will host an "Around the World Through Books" discussion on Thursday, October 29, from 7 to 8:30 p.m. in the Gallery of Georgiadis Hall on the Parham Road Campus, located at 1651 E. Parham Road in Richmond. This event is free and open to the public. Attendees are asked to bring canned food for the Central Virginia Food Bank.

Dr. Miles McCrimmon as Director of the Reynolds Advance College Academy (ACA). The Advance College Academy provides outstanding regional high school students the opportunity to earn an associate degree while completing the requirements for their high school diploma.

Reynolds to Hold Active Shooter Drill at Goochland Campus

Richmond, Va. (August 20, 2015) – J. Sargeant Reynolds Community College Department of Police, in conjunction with Goochland County Sheriff's Office, Goochland County Fire & EMS, and Virginia State Police will hold a multi-jurisdictional active shooter drill on Saturday, August 22, from 8 a.m. to 12 p.m. at Reynolds' Goochland Campus (1851 Dickinson Road).

Unveil of "Go Bike!" Artwork at Reynolds' Downtown Campus

Richmond, Va. (August 12, 2015) – J. Sargeant Reynolds Community College will welcome City of Richmond Mayor Dwight C. Jones, the Greater Richmond Chamber of Commerce (GRCC), Altria, Bon Secours Richmond Health System, and Dominion Virginia Power to unveil and dedicate a public artwork on Thursday, August 13, 2015, at 11 a.m. at the corner of 7th Street & E. Jackson Street in front of Reynolds' Downtown Campus. The artwork, titled "In search of our hopes and dreams, a long road traveled," was created by award-winning artist Ed Trask and is part of GRCC's "Go Bike!" community project, which features unique artistic works mounted on functional bike racks throughout the city ahead of the 2015 Road World Cycling Championships.

Reynolds professor to promote excellence in geoscience teaching and programs

Richmond, Va. (July 29, 2015) – Dr. Karen M. Layou, geology faculty at Reynolds Community College, has been chosen to participate in the National Science Foundation (NSF) funded Faculty as Change Agents: Transforming Geoscience Education in Two-year Colleges project. The four-year project, part of NSF’s Improving Undergraduate STEM Education portfolio, will provide a series of professional development activities designed to help community college geoscience faculty improve the success of their students.

RICHMOND, Va. (June 10, 2015) – Reynolds Community College has named Alan Crouch Assistant Dean of the School of Business. Teaching in the automotive technology program, Crouch came to Reynolds in 2008 and soon became co-program head.

Reynolds summer semester open registration begins April 27

RICHMOND, Va. (April 6, 2015) – – J. Sargeant Reynolds Community College open registration for the 2015 Summer Semester starts April 27. Through the start of classes on May 26, students can register 24 hours per day online by visiting www.reynolds.edu. Students can also register in-person in the Student Success Centers located on each campus from April 27- May 15 and May 18 – May 22. Payment is due by 3 p.m. on Friday of the week a student registers if paying in-person, or by midnight if paying online.

Super Bowl Champion and Pro Bowler Michael Robinson to deliver address at Reynolds 42nd Commencement

(April 20, 2015) – Former-NFL player and Varina High School standout Michael Robinson will deliver the commencement speech at Reynolds Community College's 42nd Commencement on Saturday, May 16, at 10 a.m. at the Verizon Wireless Arena in the Virginia Commonwealth University Stuart C.
