Reynolds Community College names Wendy Bolt Dean of Students
Richmond, VA (September 23, 2014) - Dr. Wendy Bolt has been named Dean of Students at Reynolds Community College. Bolt holds a bachelor’s in Psychology and a master’s in Counseling Psychology, both from Radford University. She earned her EdD in Educational Policy Studies and Evaluation from the University of Kentucky.

Reynolds 12-week and 2nd 4-week classes start September 23
RICHMOND, Va. (September 17, 2014) – Classes start September 23 for Reynolds Community College’s 12-week and 2nd 4-week fall semester sessions. Registration for both sessions is currently open and runs through the start of classes. Students can register 24 hours per day online by visiting www.reynolds.edu. Students can also register in-person in the Student Success Centers located on each campus.

Reynolds Community College to host emergency response exercise with active shooter scenario on Downtown Campus
Richmond, VA (August 7, 2014) - Reynolds Community College and its regional partners will conduct an emergency response exercise on Saturday, August 9 on the college’s Downtown Campus located at 700 East Jackson Street in Richmond. The exercise involves a report of gunfire and will test the multi-jurisdictional coordination and response needed to mitigate a major incident on the college’s campus.

Reynolds faculty member named to Governor’s Climate Change Commission
Richmond, Va. (July 29, 2014) – Richard S. Groover, Assistant Dean of the School of Mathematics, Science and Engineering at Reynolds Community College was recently appointed by Governor Terry McAuliffe to serve on the Governor’s Climate Change and Resiliency Update Commission. Groover is also a Fellow of the Virginia Academy of Science and a doctoral candidate for a PhD in Environmental Science and Policy from George Mason University.

Reynolds fall semester open registration begins July 28
Richmond, Va. (July 15, 2014) – Reynolds Community College open registration for the 2014 Fall Semester starts July 28. Through the start of classes on August 25, students can register 24 hours per day online by visiting www.reynolds.edu . Students can also register in-person in the Student Success Centers located on each campus from July 28 – August 15 and August 18 – August 22.

Reynolds Appoints New Vice President of Technology

Webster joins Reynolds after ten years of distinguished service with Colonial Heights Public Schools, serving most recently as the school system’s director of technology and learning.

Sargeant Reynolds Community College will host the seventh and final stop of the VCCS Fall Listening Tour on Thursday, December 5 at 10:00 a.m. at the Parham Road Campus. The listening tour, conducted by Glenn DuBois, chancellor of the VCCS, seeks to hear from business, community, K-12 education and elected leaders as the VCCS shapes the third strategic plan of DuBois’ tenure as chancellor.
